We came to the Black Lantern for dinner last weekend. We had the most lovely service and such an incredible dinner. The brussels sprouts appetizer was out of this world, the cocktails and mocktails were delicious and the chicken sandwich was filled with flavour. I highly recommend coming here for dinner!

We come to Montgomery at least once a year and have never been able to make it to Black Lantern due to schedule, etc. We finally made it tonight. We did not have reservations but thankfully didn’t have trouble getting a table and had excellent service by Kyle. The food was farm to table and fresh. Lots of local drink options. Excellent all around.

The Black Lantern remains an excellent dining option when visiting Jay Peak. While a little less convenient location from the Mountain, well worth the added drive. The atmosphere is classic Vermont and lovely, all staff treat you like family with prompt service and kindness. Good food quality at a fair price. A must visit at Jay.

Stayed in the Burndette House for three nights. Perfect room to return to after a day of skiing, after the first night I was looking forward to jumping back into the bed, it was so cozy. Proximity to Jay Peak and the local water holes was a plus too. Special thanks to Kyle who recommended us great local beers and to Beth, who drove 30 minutes out of her way to grab a charger for our car’s dead battery. Thank you so much!

Stayed here for two nights starting on Christmas Eve. Check in was easy and the room was very comfortable and clean. There was coffee, juice, muffins, yogurt, and fruit available starting at 7am. Ate dinner at the restaurant Christmas Day and it was honestly one of the best meals I have ever had, the prime rib was amazing along with everything else. Great location if you're skiing at Jay Peak.

We were in the Burdette House. Had a lovely suite with a sitting room and separate bedroom. We had a wood burning fire both nights! Wonderful… we also ate at the restaurant which was excellent. Good selection at the bar including the Maple Mule mocktail! Close to Jay Peak. Great pricing for unique antique accommodations!
